When I shop on Amazon, for some reason I just can’t hit the check out button when I only have one item in my cart. Not too long ago, my husband wanted me to order him a CD so I just had to search around for a little bit to make sure there wasn’t something else I needed before I check out. I typed in the words “craft kits for kids” and started browsing. I ran across this Alex Jr. Tots Sticker Pictures (affiliate link) by Alex Toys and thought it would be fun to have on hand for when my toddler grand kids come to visit.
This craft kit contains six themed pictures printed on heavy paper that Alex Toys calls picture boards. The pages are approximately 12” x 12” and the pictures are fun and appealing. Each picture is framed with colorful graphics. You get a sheet of stickers that go along with each theme. There was a generous amount of stickers (146 total) that were all very colorful and I really liked the quality of them also.
The six themes are:
- This is where I dream! (Picture of a bedroom with stickers featuring bedroom furniture, toys, and even a computer.)
- Where are we going? (Picture of a winding road with stickers featuring a variety of vehicles, road signs, and trees.)
- How I wish I was a fish? (An underwater picture with stickers featuring several different underwater creatures, a submarine, and a diver.)
- Old MacDonald had a farm… (Picture of barn and farm yard with stickers featuring farm animals, crops, and a tractor.)
- What’s for dinner? (Picture of a table top and a plate with stickers featuring food from all of the food groups along with a few treats.)
- Watch my garden grow! (Picture of grass with stickers featuring flowers, trees, and a variety of creatures found in or near the garden.)
I was excited to pull this out when my granddaughter came to visit and she was even more excited than I was. I let her pick on picture and we sat down with it and the matching page of stickers. She really enjoyed placing all of the stickers and only needed a little bit of help pealing some of the stickers up. I pulled up the corner of each sticker and then let her pull it off herself.
This craft kit was a huge hit and well worth the money I spent on it. My granddaughter enjoyed making the three pictures below and hopefully my grandsons will enjoy it just as much next time they come to visit. I think this kit is perfect for toddlers (their age recommendation is 18M +) but I think older kids would enjoy it too. I look forward to exploring more craft kits from Alex Toys.
